Just wanted to write a quick congratulations to everyone who has already received nominations this year. They are so competitive, and it is such a great honor that a congressman (or their office representatives... whoever read your application) deemed you to be a fit candidate for a service academy. To everyone who hasn't gotten a nomination: I urge you to still complete your application. You may instead get a VP nom or a NAPS offer if the admissions office at the academy you're applying to finds you to be a good candidate. Your MOC may also not submit their slate until the end of this month, so just remain hopeful and work on the rest of your application. Good luck to everyone on receiving an appointment!

Still no notification of any kind from Senator Cornyn. Is anyone else out there still waiting to hear back from his office? It also seems odd that no one of the SAF has mentioned receiving a nom from him yet (except for one friend of a friend). Perhaps they are still in process or at least partially.

DS received TWE from Cornyn prior to Christmas holiday. Think it was dated 13 DEC 19.

My kid received his Senator Cornyn notification a few days before Christmas. Senator Cruz replied a couple of weeks prior to that. Still waiting on Congressman

Good luck to you. My son (candidate) is a ChoirDude as well.

LOL. My first candidate is the songbird. He did not receive an appointment but was awarded both Navy and Army 4 year ROTC Scholarships two years back. He chose Navy and is attending Norwich. If my second born does receive an appointment to USMA, it will be interesting during football season. I might have to create a hybrid jersey, front side with USMC for their dad and then the back side a side by side of Navy and Army!

My DS did receive a letter notification that he did not receive a nom from Cornyn’s office. Our MOC came through though.
