Would going to the USCGA be a good way to become a Navy SEAL? I know you must be in the Navy or Coast Guard to become a SEAL, but would the CGA be a good route, or would the USNA be a better way?

I would definitely recommend USNA versus CGA if you're interested in becoming a Navy SEAL.

This is the first year that SEAL training has been open to Coast Guard members and two Coast Guard officers (I believe both are CGA grads) have completed Basic Underwater Demolition / SEALs (BUDS) training; however, they still have parachute training, the Junior Officer Training Course (JOTC) and SEAL qualification training to complete before they'll officially become Coast Guard (not Navy) SEALs in Spring 2010. I believe the Coast Guard plans to select up to four officers service-wide, not just CGA graduates, to participate in this special program each year.

Hundreds of USNA graduates have gone on to become Navy SEALs and they select a much higher percentage each year to begin training directly from the Academy than we ever would. I think a better question for you to consider is if you want to serve in the Navy or Coast Guard, because the services are very different and regardless of which Academy you attend, you may end up (for a variety of reasons) having to do something other than SEAL training following graduation.

So basically in going to the USNA you have a much better chance of becoming a SEAL?

USCGA students for the most part go Coast Guard, if your really want SEALS I agree USNA or possibly USMMA

Do not go to the Coast Guard Academy for the end goal of being a (keyword) "Navy" SEAL.
