What all tests do they run for pre commissioning examinations? Is it like a normal physical. Do they only check eyesight and particular things? Is there a blood pressure test? Thanks.

Run of the mill physical. Vital signs are checked (blood pressure, body temp). Nothing to worry about.

Are you referring to the DoDMERB exam to qualify you to get into a service academy or ROTC? Or are you referring to the physical that you are given during your 1/c year before graduation? Pre-graduation is MUCH more thorough.

DoDMERB: temp, height, weight, measure sitting distance (something important if you wish to fly), audiology, urinalysis (check for diabetes), blood prick (testing iron for women), BP, pulse, look in ears/eyes, palpate abdomen, listen to heart/lungs, (do have you read an eye chart and you will have a full eye exam at an eye doc that checks vision as well as for color blindness), reading aloud...banana oil :)

I know what is required for DODMERB. I am talking about the 2/C pre commissioning medical examinations. Thanks.

Standard phys, plus an ekg, blood and urine samples, eye exams for prk eligibility, anthro for flight, and the standard dental exam. If anything is unusual about you, you'll probably go to Bethesda for further study.
