My ALO told me I had competitve SAT scores, but went ahead and took the test again. I feel I did better on the critical reading and math sections by quite a bit, but I also think my score may have dropped on the writing section. Would you reccommend sending a score report to the Academy before I am able to see the scores?

On the USAFA Candidate Checklist, here is what is listed:

"Take the SAT and/or the ACT immediately and have your results sent to USAFA. We only accept official scores. (You can retake them as often as you wish - - we consider the highest scores.)" (Page 2, No. 5)

I've taken the SAT three times to get my highest score, and if need be, to become more competative, I'll take them again.

I believe that they will take the scores through February of your entering year. Can anyone vouch for this?

ALWAYS send the scores to the academy.

They will "cherry pick" the highest scores and toss the rest. You can NOT hurt yourself by retesting!!!
