Congrats to all who have received their appointments and LOA's! I received a scholastically qualified letter, another from DODMERBS indicating "qualified" status and completed my CFA at NASS. I am eligible for a Presidential nomination and will interview with MOC in Nov. I am female and live in a MD. It has been recommended by some that I should retake my SATs and possibly my CFA. What do you think?

My advice is to constantly keep improving on anything that you think NEEDS improving and CAN be improved.

Applying to a service academy is a lot of work and it is a drill in organizational skills, diligence, and persistence. There are many who get discouraged with the process and give up. There are many more who find the process too daunting to even begin.

Only you can decide how much of an effort you are willing to make.

The "some" are a BGO of a friend, and the Dad of a current plebe. I took my SAT 2 times, my CR score was 690 both times and my highest Math is a 660. The BGO said SAT scores are weighted 60%.

My CFA scores were at of higher than the average for each event with the exception of the arm hang...8 seconds.

I want to do whatever I can and whatever is needed.

I am also interested in a CVW. My BGO was unfamiliar with these. Should i contact my regional director?

Thanks for the replies.

How bad do you want to attend USNA? Seriously, what can it hurt to take the tests again. My son took SAT and ACt three times each. Scores went up every time.
