hey everyone, just took my CFA today. it was tough, i thought i was going to kill the mile run since its only a mile but when you added everything on top of each other, i was already fatigued when i started.

i dont think my scores were very good but i know i passed. a navy seal officer conducted my test and lets just say he didnt let anything slide lol, everything he recorded was legit. made it tougher but in the end its a good thing.

does the academy look to see if you just passed or do they grade you on if you did real well on the test?

they look at how well you did on the test. when your packet, as a whole, is evaluated the board will start assigning points for each item. Those points will add up to your Whole-Person evaluation score. the score is based on information received from the materials in the packed and allows the candidates to be ranked objectively. the admissions board adds its subjective eval of the record; specifically, the board member presenting the record may recommend additional weighting (either positive or negative) for special circumstances that he/she finds appropriate in each candidate's package.

So, your CFA score will receive so many points based on how well you scored and that number will be added to your whole-person evaluation number.

USNA knows you'll be tired when running the mile and account for that b/c everyone's tired. I posted average scores on one of the stickies above. Those are provided by USNA so are legit. If you're in that general range, especially on push-ups, crunches, and the mile, you're probably fine. If you're significantly weaker in one or more categories, you may want to consider retaking.

Feedback and avg scores?

USNA1985...I looked for, but couldn't find the average scores you posted. Can you help me, or repost? I found the max scores on the USNA site, but would like to see what average, acceptable, passing, etc scores are.

Any feedback on these scores? Basketball and lax player, but prob not in my prime shape at this point. 6'-0" 165 lbs

shuttle run- 8.4
crunches- 70

Here you go (from sticky above -- you have to scroll down to the second message):

Average scores for males are: 6:40 run; 80 crunches; 58 pushups; 11 pullups; 67 Bball throw; 8.9 shuttle run. For females: 7:45 run; 75 crunches; 37 pushups; 1 pullup or 54 sec hang; 34 Bball; 9.8 shuttle. In terms of what you need to get in, the test is pass/fail – you will be told by CGO if you have failed. FYI, your BGO does NOT know your scores or whether you have passed or failed.
