I heard a rumor that Worley resigned?

Anyone got some more information?

The first time I met him he walked up to me and said:

"Why are you guys such a problem for me?" This was at church.

DS indicated that when it was announced today on campus it was heard he is relocating to the midwest to help care for ailing parent(s) of either himself or his wife.
 
That is too bad. Hopefully the search will result in someone even better!!!
 
the announcement that was made to us today was that one of his family members on his wife's side has some serious medical issues, so they are moving away from the east coast to be with them. apparently the dean will be acting as superintendent until a suitable replacement is found.

If this is indeed the case, then I wish Admiral and Mrs. Worley and their family the best.

However, I have a disquieted feeling about this (somehow I can't imagine the superintendent of West Point resigning for such a reason). And I really hope I'm wrong about this.
 
I can't imagine making up Mrs Worley's parents health issue. It has to be indeed true and I wish them the best.

I sincerely hope we get someone top notch willing to turn this academy into the crown jewel it deserves to be.
 
Please do not misunderstand; I do not mean to suggest that the serious health issues of a member of Mrs. Worley's family are a fabrication.
 
I know that there are always growing pains when someone new comes in, and this was true with Admiral Worley's arrival at Kings Point. Despite that, whenever I talked with him, he struck me as sincere in his desire to improve the Academy. I do wish him well and thank him for his service during his brief tenure.

With Admiral Worley's sincerelly desire to improve this place, this couldn't have come at a worst time. :frown:

BTW, it seems Admiral Worley is staying until January.
