adding to application

sorry i been asking alot of questions but i just finished my entire application and im paranoid.

how can i go about adding something to my application? its not that i forgot to submit it at the time; (it asked for the optional essay but i didnt answer it as i did not come to any conclusions but after a a month or so i came to an answer) can i send them this optional essay via mail to my CGO or director of admissions or is it a "too bad so sad" kind of deal? I really would like for them to read it.
 
Email it and follow up with a fedex'd or certified letter to Admissions. I would bet they would add it to the file with no problem. If they don't want it, then nothing ventured nothing gained. But send it, the deadline has not passed. Admissions wants the Academy to have the best, they're not guard dogs..they are on your side!!:smile:
 
If you sign onto your candidate information page on the USNA admissions site it tells you to correct information by sending an email to your regional director. When I had to correct an email address I got an emailed response. I sent an email last week to add a few activity items but did not receive a confirmation email.

Are you talking about the Personal Statement? I wasn't aware that was optional
 
the personal statement wasnt optional but there was 2 essays that were. I am not aware of the exact wording, hopefully someone can state it here, but it asked you if you had any circumstances that you feel the academy should be aware about. something like that
 
Has anyone else updated their application? Did you receive any confirmation to indicate the file was updated? My daughter applied in August she has since received other recognitions and has assumed more leadership positions she would like these added to her file. She sent an email to her RD but hasn't heard anything. I assume this is their busiest time of year. Her nomination wasnt posted until 10 days after she received it so it could just be a "data entry" issue.

hey, i updated my application yesterday. i sent my regional director an email with a word document attached. I asked him to please reply back with a confirmation and he did and said he would do it today. the regional director can be found when you logg in CIS. it will say it at the bottom of the page.
