Just like most on this site my KK has applied for a NROTC scholarship and a few of the other SA. My question is will the NROTC board even look at her application if her choice school application aren't finished?

I don't think the NROTC board will know whether her choice school applications are complete. Hopefully if the NROTC awards her a scholarship it will be to a college that she can get admitted. What is a KK?

Daughter has NOT filled out the college app yet, but she received the scholarship this week to her first choice school. Best of luck

The answer is yes, they will look at the scholarship application prior to her college applications being finished.

Undate?

Should you E-mail new Higher ACT or SAT scores to NROTC?

SAT/ACT scores need to be official. Call the NROTC office your daughter is working with and find out if they will accept scores that are on official transcripts.
Never hurts to send in info that will strengthen the package :thumb:

We were told to have college board send a copy of the new scores so we rushed them.

Seeking Knowledge, is your daughter's scholarship for Navy? How did they notify you?

Our son had everything complete for the first Board but has not heard anthing, and we're all getting antsy.

CronusMom,

Yes, NROTC. After reading here on the forums that someone had just received their scholarship we checked the NROTC site and it was listed there. The site says a letter will be arriving shortly.

All the waiting inherent this year is tough on everyone. I hope you hear soon.

Thank you, Seeking Knowledge.

We have been checking the status almost daily. I just checked again, and it's strange because son's page is blank. It used to show all his scores, etc, but now there's just nothing. Maybe it's in transition? Thankfully our son is easy going. I am so bad at patience. Trying to breathe . . . . .

double check that you entered login info correctly. When I make a mistake on SSN or Bdate the page shows blank.

Checked yet again. All the information popped up, but nothing about being selected . . . sigh . . .

I'm a little worried . . . okay a lot worried . . . because the stats still show our son's first SAT scores, and his second scores were better (math 710 second time). Nothing under ACT (taken once and got 32). All his scores were sent by College Board back in MAY! We don't understand why the first scores are shown when all scores were sent AT THE SAME TIME. His better scores would make him a better candidate.

We have emailed about the higher scores to both the scholarship coordiantor and to Pensicola, and I called and left a message at Pensicola with no response. Son has since taken the SAT a third and final time in early November so the scores will be sent yet again by the end of the month. Trying to breathe . . .

Copy the official SAT and ACT score sheet that you received in the mail. Fax with coversheet to all necessary contacts. Then, scan and email to the correct parties. Then, copy and FedEx with cover letter to Pensacoloa.

Son's official scores sent from ACT were not input into AFROTC system. He emailed to AFROTC and was told to scan and email official score sheet, because she could not guarantee that the scores sent digitally would be updated/input in a timely manner.... by whoever it is that does the updating.

Thanks, Singaporemom. I'll fax copies to Pensicola today and mail them as well. I was contemplating doing that but trying not to be an annoyance.

It's just SO frustrating because his scores were sent to Pensicola in MAY. Copies were then sent to his scholarship coordinator in August because the score were showing up wrong on his status page. Then in October we emailed the coordinator yet again because the scores were still wrong, and he told us "not to worry about it." Not worry? :frown:

We then emailed Pensicola and got a stock response, "we need the official College Board paperwork to update your scores." What????? They got that in MAY!!!!!!!! I called and had to leave a long message about it, and there has been no response.

Waiting is hard enough. Going around in circles tyring to provide them with correct information is compounding the stress.

If you have some sort of relationship with one of the rotc units from schools on your son's list, have son email or call them to ask for assistance. maybe they can check if it's correct in the system. My son's scores aren't even showing up online....maybe the display is incorrect but the system is fine.

Just curious what web address link you are going to in order to access this information. The web site page I've seen gives no scores, etc. Only the information that the application has been processed and ready to go before the board.
Thank you!

USNA1982BGO, I go to nrotc.navy.mil/status_scholarship.aspx and pull up his app status and info using his SSN and DOB.

Anyone else see this message? Message has remained the same since early October.

"Application has been submitted online Your electronic application has been received and is being processed ...
Your application is at Naval Education and Training Command for final processing and selection determination. Selection decisions will begin in late August and continue until the end of April. Once a selection decision has been made, your new status will be reflected.
"

This is the only information on the page once SSN and DOB are entered.

I recall that as the message we saw prior to what we are seeing now. Our son's application was complete/submitted in early July.
