On the homepage to my admissions profile, it says Cadet Candidate Class of 2014. I never noticed this before unil now. Is that what everybody's says?? I know this may seem like a stupid question but I am just curious.

For those who have gotten an appointment, how does your status change on your application page?

Does it show that you're now a member of the USMA Class of 2014 or that you've received the appointment?

Whatever it states it must be an exciting thing to see!

I pulled up my son's page and it still says, 'Cadet Candidate USMA 2013' and he is a Plebe this year. He was offered a late appointment (in April) due to waiting on a medical waiver so they may not have changed his status at that late date. However, there is an, 'Appointment Offered' box that appeared on the right hand side of the overview page right under the 'Nominations Received' box. In the 'Appointment Offered' box it has the date that he accepted the appointment. It WAS a VERY happy day!!!! :yay:

On the home page it reads "cadet candidate USMA 2014" but on the overview page it reads " son's name, USMA Class of 2014"

I guess we are all hoping and hoping for news...

Today, my candidate portal was updated. It had two additional boxes: one for accepting the appointment offer and another for a few data entries.

The first box has a link that says to click it to either accept or decline your nomination. Instead of sending the card in, you can electronically accept the appointment immediately and digitally sign from your candidate portal (which is what I did).

The other new box that appears is a "Gray Cards" section. It has four links. One for personal information (religious preference, blood type, and something else), one for uniform sizes (size of your waist, shoes size, and shoe width), one for any points of contact that you would like to have your grades mailed to, and a travel section for securing your tickets for R-Day.

If you have any questions, I'm here to help. I'm looking forward to seeing you guys at West Point this June!
