Are the ROTC medical requirements the same as for the academy? I am medically qualified for USAFA but probably will be DQ'd for USNA due to color vision. Does that make me qualified for AFROTC but not for NROTC?

From my research (I am also colorblind) I have found that the ONLY ROTC program that we qualify for is the NROTC - Marine Corps branch

The link I found earlier is currently down...
It was on www.nrotc.navy.mil

All of the other ROTC programs I have researched say that substandard colorvision is an automatic DQ

Did you take the Farnsworth Lantern test for color vision as a remedial?

Yes, and repeated the plate test at a military base. Did not pass either. I have been listed as mild red/green color deficient. Huge shock and disappointment! AFA has always been my first choice but I was wondering about AFROTC and NROTC as plan B.

I have the same thing... Take an online Farnsworth D-15 test and let me know how you do? I am red/green color deficit (mildly) but I can always pass the D-15...

I fail the Ishihara (number plates) but was wondering if Id be able to pass the Lantern...

wanted to add that idk if you can take the D-15 as a remedial, but i know LAPD offers this...maybe the military too?
