No notification for passing CFA?

My son's CFA scores were posted as received on the Academy Admissions website over three weeks ago. He has received three letters stating that he is scholastically Q'd, and a letter from DoDMerb that he's Medically Q'd (no waivers needed), and we're hopeful for a MOC nom. So my question is, if after more than 3 weeks, is it too early to assume that he passed the CFA?
(This is my first post since joining, but this forum has been sooo helpful through this process! Thank you all:smile:

My daughter completed her CFA back in August. She has not received anything from DoDMerb or USNA other than 2 letters indicating she was Scholastically qualified. Her BGO did tell her she was 3Q'd and the DoDMerb site says qualified. The USNA site only lists the date the CFA was received. I'm assuming that this is normal.

USNA will tell you if you've failed the CFA. They will also tell you if you're triple Q'ed (which obviously means you passed). However, I don't believe they affirmatively notify you only about passing the CFA. If you're concerned, you can always call/email your RD. Your BGO does NOT know whether you've passed or failed.

Thank you. I'll have my son get in touch with the RD. Coincidentally -- we just heard this morning that he recived a Nomination form our MOC. Yeah! So IF he is Triple Q'd with a Nom, is he still just in a big pool of other similarly qualified candidates?

Since my daughter received a Scholastically Qualified letter (twice), DoDMerb site indicates "Qualified" and she has not received a notification of failure on the CFA, all of which were completed in August, would that be an indication of 3Q'd? Or should she contact Regional Director to ask?

Adding to usna1985, the RD will notify the candidate and encourage them to retake the CFA as necessary. This was voiced multiple times at the Area Coordinator conference I attended this past August.

Good luck!

And if you don't hear from the RD at all regarding your CFA, should you assume that all is well? Or do you ask?

You can probably assume that all is well. However, if you're losing sleep over it, call or email the RD.

And, if you're 3 Q'ed with a nom and (1) don't have an LOA or (2) don't have a principal nom, you're in the pool. However, it's not a bad place to be.
