On the SLS application, I was unsure what to put in the remarks section, so I had left it blank. I marked that I was in another club, not listed on the application. I think I should have explained in the remarks section what the club is, but i didnt. What is the best way to contact addmissions to explain what that club is? Also, what else could I have included in the remarks section?
Thanks!

Remarks are for what you were thinking: explaining things that they wouldn't know. That club is a perfect example. They don't know anything about how much time you spend, leadership positions, its cause... but they want to.

You could have explained extreme adversity you have faced and how that has affected you.

Other awards/leadership positions that are school-specific would go in the remarks section.

Also make sure to note in there if you were approximating your class rank.

If you can log-in to the candidate portal like the candidates for 2014 already, there is a "contact us" page which is basically an e-mail from you to your regional admissions group. Calling the regional group will give you an immidiate response.

Would they be able to tell me the status of my file and what needs improvement?

It seems like a lot of people have made this mistake. I put very minimal stuff in my remarks section because it seemed like they didn't want anything there by limiting the characters to 250. Now I wish that I would have put my GPA and explained some of the clubs that I hold leadership positions in. There's no way to update it either that I know of.
