Your stats look strong for at least Type 2, Type 1 at this late of date is more dicey. The problem you are facing is that the AFROTC Scholarship has limited dollars, and typically you stand better chances when the pot is full (back in Oct) than in Jan. when a large chunk is gone.
You have very strong stats, easily eligible for AFA depending on the other parts (CFA, recs, etc) which will place you in another pile. Additionally, you are going technical, so type 1 would appear to be in your reach.
It is true that only 20% of type 2 are awarded, and if I recall correctly 95% are to technical. The problem with Type 2 comes down to only paying for IS and capped at a particular amount, which translates into many cadets transferring it into a Type 7. I.E. if your IS charges 9100, and does not waiver that 100, you are not able to use the scholarship. The AF will not allow you to make up the difference. ALL or NOTHING is what you get!
Mag congrats to you for getting the Type 2. What else was on your application?
