I logged in this morning to check son's status, and his NROTC page has gone to blank - just his social and DOB showing in the blue area.

If I'm not mistaken, haven't I read where that happened to others right before a big change?

I would say check DODMERB when it gets back up but I think you're correct.

And now it's back to:
Application has been submitted online Your electronic application has been received and is being processed ...
Your application is at Naval Education and Training Command for final processing and selection determination. Selection decisions will begin in late August and continue until the end of April. Once a selection decision has been made, your new status will be reflected.

BLAH.

I hate waiting too!

I have been checking DD's NROTC app status every 23 seconds (OK, not that often  ) and it has remained unchanged all morning. She hasn't had that blurb about selection decisions until April for some time, it just says:

The NSTC Selection/Placement Office has received your application.

Missing Items
All required items have been processed.

Selection Status
No decision has been made on your application.

Well, if you feel like checking something new for today, DoDMERB is back up.

No love here from Navy or Dodmerb. I'm going back to bed. ;)

I've noticed that online status pages really bring out my OCD tendencies! I think I'm going to need medication before this is all over.

:yllol: I've recently quit smoking (like, two days ago) and am starting to think I honestly might be the dumbest woman alive. At the very least, my decision-making skills are questionable at best.

son already has all 3 rotc scholarships and I'm still checking websites everyday, including dodmerb.....making sure it doesn't change back!

To shanagan, I had the same status as you, the decision status is just blank on the blue background. Sometimes it's good and bad, if you happen to find DoDMERB's letter to do physical screening and you know for SURE that it's from NROTC. Then CONGRATS, a week or two later, my case it was 4 or 5 days, you log on again and it will say: "Congratulations you have been selected for a 4 year Navy-Option scholarship", the next line would be your designated school.
Hope that help, email me if you have any question.:shake:

so my page has officaly gone from blank to "Application has been submitted online Your electronic application has been received and is being processed ...

thanx! what unit is ur son/daughter looking to join?

He's looking to the terribly exciting world of engineering, which probably means he'll end up overseeing civilian contract work, according to a contact we have - so really, who knows? LOL

Ahh, now that we know. He's going to Texas A&M, scholarship or not. (We finally decided A&M no matter what, since A&M is "full on the Navy side" and he'd be waitlisted if he does get offered a scholarship.) What about you?

But... we never moved up to the school listings showing on his status page. It just went back to the same old "we've got your stuff" message yesterday. Everything in me is like "but he's smart! personable! athletic! leadership material!" every time I open that page. It doesn't seem to care. ;-)

I am at Temple University right now as a freshman and I am going to join the UPenn unit. I am taking the first level Nav Sci classes there right now. I was wait listed for CGA last year and then realized i was very tunnel visioned and should have tried other options. It was funny on my first day of class there, none of the 4th class knew who I was so they made the assumption that I was an upper class until i asked for directions lol NO wonder they wernt talking to me haha

You and my mom would get along! lol She has given me the same speech on numerous occasions. Believe me, the second year of waiting is just as hard.
