I've got my application completed for quite some time. Here's a quick rundown of my stats.

Captain of my school's rowing team (Nationally Ranked)
School Leadership Team
Boys state attendee
Summer seminar attendee
Taking 3 honor classes and AP Calc
Kolbe Society (On Kolbe Council) [Catholic School Program in which I am a leader of the 150 kids on it]
Support Our Troops
Honor Roll First Two Quarters of 12th grade year (1st- 92.6 (3.65) 2nd 91.5 (3.59))

I haven't received any letter about being 3'd or whatever, and it has me concerned. What more should I do?

How long ago did you complete your application? I completed mine in the beginning of december and heard about 2-3 weeks later about being 3'qd. I wouldn't worry just yet.

My son never received 3Q letter or any other info until Friday when he spoke with the MOC who nominated him and gave him the good news about his appointment to USNA. Waiting is the hardest part of the process, what you should do is go have some fun and enjoy yourself. You'll go crazy wondering what if or what should I do? By the looks of your accomplishments you have already done the things necessary to get you to this point. :thumb:

Keep your file updated. Contact your BGO,AC, or RD about a visit. I have come to believe that testing your patience and persistence is part of the Admissions process.

Best wishes to you and to all the other candidates who are waiting to get good news from Admissions.

^^^^

Great advice. Unfortunately, for most of the candidates still waiting for news, there's not much you can do but wait. Most (NOT all) candidates will hear something in late February or March. I know it's frustrating but, for many of you, it will be worth the wait.

I agree...perseverance really pays off...let's hope it holds true for all who are still waiting...Good Luck to all!

...and keep working on Plan "B". Just in case...

I've gotten accepted to every other school in which I applied except for USCGA, can I still be accepted without receiving one of these 3 Q'd letters? My app's been done since september and I just received my second nomination.

You need to be 3q'd to get in, however you do not need the actual letter. I would contact your BGO and nicely ask about your status. Maybe they reviewed your application and didn't send you a letter or it got lost. I am assuming that if you received 2 nominations than you are most likely scholastically qualified. You had to submit applications to your MOCs and if they didn't think you would be successful at the academy, they wouldn't have nominated you.
Best of Luck!!

Thank you and thats what I'm hoping lol. I am just wondering if every 3 Q'd candidate receives a letter stating that they are 3 Q'd before gaining an appointment.

If someone actually received a letter in the mail from USNA stating that they were triple qualified, could you post that information here? Thanks!

No letter stating 3Q'd...just 2 letters stating son was "scholastically" qualified by the Academy...son's BGO told us he is 3Q'd. Never heard of anyone this year getting a letter stating 3Q'D....but someone MAY have?!

Son received two letters as well stating he was scholastically qualified but never one stating 3Q. BGO told us that.

Our son didn't receive any letters stating qualification status, except from DoDMerb (medical qual). He went to NASS, passed is CFA and passed his medical, then he received Congressional noms, so I assume he is scholastically qualified as well. His BGO told him he is on track with everything, so again, we have to assume the best...and wait...

As mentioned previously, if you've received two noms, you can probably assume you are scholastically qualified. You can find out about your medical on the DoDMerb site, if you didn't receive a letter from them. And, since you went to NASS, you should know if you passed your CFA.

Good luck and let us know when you hear something!

Yah I passed CFA and Im medically qualified. When i say letter meaning triple qualified I most likely meant academically. I haven't received an academic letter, and it has me concerned that im not 3 Q'd.

And an answer to that other question, no all schumers nom's were competitive I believe.

It's a little complicated. You (and your BGO) will know if you're medically qualified. Your BGO and you know if you're scholastically qualified. Your BGO doesn't know if you've passed your CFA per se. What he/she does know is whether the Admissions Board deems you qualified and they typically won't do that if you haven't passed your CFA.

For candidates, if you haven't been told by CGO that you failed your CFA and you receive a "scholastically" qualified letter AND you've been told you're medically qualified, you can consider yourself triple Q'ed.

Doublechecking -- I thought I read that BGOs did not have access to any medical information.l

BGOs know if you are medically qualified, incomplete or rejected (although that status can change once you get a waiver). We don't have any information regarding why you are incomplete or rejected, but we do know your status.
