Just checked our status for the 100th time since last sunday and the site is now updated so you can create an account and go get your physicals.

Good luck to all and here's to good health!! :thumb:

It wasn't updated this am so they must have done it within the last few hours. For those who have already qualified due to a SA application looks like the letters have also been mailed!

Here's my son's page.

09-FEB-10 Date letter sent - DD2368: Status Letter

Agency: ' US Army ROTC
Admission Status: In Process
Admission Status Change Date: 9-FEB-2010
Current Medical Status: Qualified (as of 09-FEB-10 )

So I saw on the FAQ page that we will be 'assigned' an office to go for the physical and eye exam. Can anybody tell me if we're going to get a letter in the mail, an e-mail or do we need to check our DoDMERB account daily for an update? Thanks...

You will get a package in the mail if they are still doing it the same way as back in the fall. With it will be the MD and the eye doctor in your area that you need to call when to make the appointments. You will go to dodmets.com and register. From here you can input your appointment times or you can call.
It's all spelled out clearly and will tell you what to take, what to do, and what to print out and fill out. Bring everything with you.

Our doctor and eye doctor was about 45 minutes away and the MD was only open a few days a week so call as soon as you get your package if you want after school hours.

Thanks cjs...luckily we live in a huge metro area so I'm sure they have a doctor closer than 45 minutes for us. We just spoke w/ a freind of ours who had their daughter go thru this for the USNA and USAFA process and they were sent to the city just to the south of us (maybe 10 miles max) so maybe we'll get the same.

My son did the DODMERB exam this summer for USAFA and at first he was assigned to an MD 10 hours from our home ! We called and were reassigned one 15 minutes from home. Made much more sense...

We called but the one that was 45 minutes away was the closest. The MD and eye doctor were the closest. I had tried only because we had to go on separate days. I'm spoiled as everything is so close to us.

wow, 10 hours would have been hard!

So, all I have to do is make an account on the dodmerb website, and then I'll get a packet in the mail?

i have the same question. do we get a packet in the mail without doing anything (except creating the account, that is), or do we have to do something else before we get the packet?

You get the packet in the mail and it has all the instructions to kick-off the process. You can't really do much until the packet arrives because it specifies the doctors you need to visit.

You don't need to do anything to have the packet sent to you. Once you get the packet, then you make an account on both DODMERB and the other website(Dodmets)

The DODMERB packet was very straightforward and great at explaining the process. I live in surburbia and I had to drive about an hour.
