Does anyone know about how long it usually takes the CGA to process the signed acceptance paperwork and send out the R-Day packets? Thanks.

they usually send them all out at the same time. I think i got mine in May.

You'll get a "Congratualtion for accepting your appointment" letter in about 7 - 10 days after you sign and return it.

All the other paperwork (dental forms/xray request, immunization form, police record/fingerprint forms, SGLI forms, uniform measurements, EQIP, banking info, etc) comes in Mid April.

You can access last year's cadet handbook and parent's handbook here:

letter came yesterday

We sent in my son's acceptance at the beginning of Februray. His letter of confirmation of receipt of materials came yesterday. So less than a month for the turn around letter.

" Congratulations on deciding to accept your appointment to the Coast Guard Academy! I wanted to let you know that we have received your Statement of Acceptance and Obligation, but the Class of 2014 acceptance package is still being finalized."

It goes on to state that it is expected to be completed in the next few weeks and will be mailed soon after. Exciting times:biggrin:

Hopeful1

Thanks for the update. This means our son should be getting his in the mail any day now. Very exciting times indeed!
