Anyone hear back for Regular Decision from Virginia Tech? I know the deadline just passed but I heard cadets usually here back much earlier than civilians. Is this true?

I was just wondering the exact same thing. Hopefully cadets hear earlier

I applied regular decision two years ago. I heard back in March I think. Most people I know heard back in the March-April area. Cadets are no different from regular students when it comes to that. Good luck

My son applied to VT Corps of Cadets regular decision and just received his admission this week -- we were told end of February as well. Time to start checking your application status page.

I read on my app page last week ACCEPTED and received a welcome email yesteday and again today. Nothing in the mail yet. I also applied regular decision and to to Corp of Cadets (heard nothing yet from them).

Son's acceptance letter from VT had nothing in it about Corps of Cadets except the phrase, "We are delighted to offer you admission to VT in General Engineering for Fall 2010 as a Freshman cadet." There were a couple of flyers/brochures enclosed in the mailing about the school and upcoming dates, but not a mention of the Corps and not a single photo of a cadet anywhere in the flyers. I found that very odd.

I hope the Corps will be sending a separate mailing shortly.

Got admitted this week as well. My letter said the same thing as CronusMom's son (Freshman cadet). Well hopefully this means we are in the CoC. Hopefully we will get another packet (CoC) shortly.

They will. Soon, you'll get a large packet with instructions and forms to fill out. There will be a portion of summer orientation where you go through a sort-of in processing as well.
