So far, I have applied for a Naval ROTC scholarship, the Naval Academy, and the Air Force Academy. I have also received nominations to both academies. I received the NROTC scholarship, and on my DoDMERB status, next to "Admission Status" under NROTC it says Accepted. For the Air Force Academy it says "In Process" and until Thursday, under the Naval Academy it has also said In Process, but on Thursday, the admission status changed to "Offer Extended." I am not sure as to what to believe, because I have read that people applying to the USMMA say that they haven't finished the application, but on DoDMERB says Offer Extended. Any input would be appreciated.

on Feb 16, son's USNA DoDMERB status changed from In Process to Offer Extended.

Feb 24 he received congrats letter from MOC

Feb 26 he received USNA peperwork with offer

CONGRATS!!!

The general consensus on this board has been that the DoDMERB status for the Naval Academy has been accurate. Thus, congratulations are in order!

Note, however, that I am not sure if this applies to all of the other academies, and I am certain that it does NOT apply to the MMA.

Be on the look out for a Big FAT Envelope! (when son got his, we thought it was just another catalogue like the one he had gotten from USAFA a few days before-what a pleasant surprise!)

Congrats!

So the "offer extended" for the USMMA means nothing? For the USAFA and USNA it says offer extended and I've recieved appt's to both of them, and I'm just wondering with the USMMA.

Also, does anyone know if military nominations also notify people like the MOC's. I got a nomination to the USMMA and I have NO idea who gave it to me, and my only thought is a field rep who was on one of my panels.
