2028 State Nominations Thread

Did DS have a nom from your House Rep too? I'm wondering if the Senators are trying not to have duplicates.
He has a nomination from Rep for USNA. He received the USAFA LOA after the Rep interview so we were hoping for Senator nomination but didn't expect it being in competitive Colorado.

Now we wait on USNA to see if he is lucky enough to be offered an appointment there too. Right now he sees himself as a career Navy officer but would be happy in Air Force too. Of course I would love for him to stay in Colorado but that's me being selfish.

Just received USMA nomination from MD 03. Does this mean I can't get anymore nominations to other service academies.
Every member of Congress does it differently. Some give out multiple, some won't give more than one, some coordination with the other MOCs in the state so they don't duplicate.

Maybe already answered, but I didn't want to go through all 44 pages.

What is a general estimate for the acceptance of a Candidate who is Q3 and has a MOC Nom?

I am currently Q3 for USAFA and USMA. Q2 for USNA (Under Medical Waiver Review), and have Congressional and Presidential Nominations to all 3.

Here's the best answer you will get.

No one knows

Yep, that's about the answer I was expecting.
Sorry, just the truth. It isn't some aspect that can be really calculated. Candidate A with a lower test score and gpa could get accepted over Candidate B with a high test score and gpa, because Candidate A is what the military needs. It is what it is.

USNA told you that you are Academically (which is Academics plus everything that is not the CFA)? In
over thirty years, I have not seen USNA ever notify someone that they are "Q".
Perhaps you are ASSUMING that you are Q because of test scores or whatever?
That is not the same thing as the USNA Admissions Board finding you qualified.

Hi, still waiting on Ferguson communication also, I’m wondering if there were some candidates that could not make the interview mid December so it’s delaying the results??

Has anyone heard anything from Congressman Ferguson in GA-03 or Senator Ossoff in Georgia?
Have not heard from Senator Ossoff yet. DS got noms from Sen Warnock and Rep. McBath (GA-7) in mid December and an appointment for USMA at the end of December.
