For those of us who reapplied and attended a four-year university for a year, does anyone know or have any experience dealing with existing student loans? Are we responsible for getting them paid off? Or is it possible to have the loans paid for or waived upon graduation or commissioning?

I did not receive an appointment last year. I reapplied this year and did receive an appointment. I attended a 4 year university, was NOT in any branch of ROTC, and was NOT in an engineering or another technical program. So it is possible if you have a strong application!

Close down meaning it will cease to exist? Like they are deleting the page you mean?

I found the USNA Class of 2017 Facebook page but it says it is closed and that they do not accept requests to join the group? I received my appointment a few weeks ago and I was wondering if anyone knew how I could get accepted or invited into the group?

AP Physics and/or AP Chemistry(with good grades) are both very good things to have on your transcript. I took both as well as AP Calculus and received my appointment last month after a year at a 4 year university. I recommend taking them both if at all possible!

Aside from getting in trouble with the law, what are other reasons appointments can be revoked? Injuries since dodmerb exam, final grades, etc.? How often are appointments revoked for grades and other reasons? I'm not worried, I'm just asking out of curiosity.

Do they no longer require the matching "Plebe Summer Shoe" or a shoe that is primarily white in color?

Most definitely. Two students from my high school are in their second year at USNA and two friends of mine are in their first year at USAFA. Next year, two of us(myself included) will enter USNA from the same high school. Although, I did a year at a public university.

Navy3 - Honestly, I would take it positively. Don't get your hopes up too high though. Toward the beginning of March, I received MULTIPLE emails about CVWs that they invited me to attend. Unfortunately I couldn't attend any due to scheduling conflicts, but thankfully I attended NASS. Anyway...
