If a Plebe validates out of 4 classes, what is the net effect of that? Does he/she ultimately take 4 less classes over 4 years? Or do they fill those 4 "open" spots with additional upper level classes? Or do they serve as 4 electives that they can use as they wish down the road?

In planning a couple care packages I was looking for some clarification. I believe only firsties have refrigerators in their dorm rooms, isn't that correct? No cold drinks for 3 years? Bummer. Nothing beats an ice cold Mountain Dew at 3:30 in the morning.

Has anybody seen a schedule of events/things to do at the Academy for I-Day? I am aware of the picnic and some of the other things to do, but I am wondering if there is a published schedule somewhere? Also, I understand that there may be some events the next day that parents are invited to...

No email for us...we just happened upon the update in the portal. Then, as suggest above, about one week later (today) she received the blue folder and formal appointment certificate in the U.S. Mail today. Nice looking folder/document.

Do they even send the appointment offers by mail anymore? My daughter had an LOA and then received a nomination. About a week after the nomination the portal was updated to reflect an offer of appointment and she had the ability to either accept or decline the offer online. She accepted and...

My daughter just received a nomination from her U.S. Representative this morning! I believe that means along with the Letter of Assurance she received back in September she should be getting an appointment as long as she is a good girl and stays healthy! What a long process and I am very proud...

To other LOA recipients: Other than the email notification and the updated portal information, have you received any other notification regarding the LOA? Have you actually received a letter in the mail?
