I am going through almost the same exact thing as u, I have 1 that's also hitting a nerve in my leg. When I got to camp this past summer the same injury was made worse. I have to go back to camp this summer but I am not sure if my back will be healed in time. Did you end up getting medically disqualified? And if so, what was the process?
