We always look past the easiest solutions... a google search haha. If that is up to date then the previous thought that you had to be potentially pilot qualified to be a falcon scholar is wrong. I have heard multiple people say that though.

Just from a quick google search I found that the sitting height requirement for pilots is between 34 and 40 inches. For navigators it is 33 and 40 inches... I wouldn't worry too much about it. Christcorp just clarified a lot of this in the "potential pilot qualified" thread. Check it out. The...

    Potential Pilot Qualified

They still have the "potentially pilot qualified" designation though, correct? My status says not "PPQ" because of vision problems. This is confusing me because I know they are willing to perform eye surgeries like you mentioned. I have heard there are certain programs that only apply to...

    Potential Pilot Qualified

This discussion is kind of going on in the reapplying club thread. Basically, you can check your DoDMERB status. If it says "Qualified", you are potentially pilot qualified. If you aren't PPQ, it states why in your status, so if there are no statements then you are PPQ.

The link from the USAFA status page to DoDMERB lists reasons you are not potentially pilot qualified. If it just says qualified, you are potentially pilot qualified. Mine says qualified, and under that it lists out 3 reasons detailing why I am not pilot qualified... for the moment at least.

Ah, that's a shame. The only one requirement to be considered, and I can't meet it. Thanks for the info.

To tlangford and djsanguine: What happens after a free agent is not given an appointment? Are they able to try another year? I was not educated about these schools, but NWP has really impressed me. The whole process as a free agent seems extremely risky though. If you are not given an...

    Wait Wait Wait...and MORE Wait

I'm speechless... thats an amazing resume. I received my TWE for the first time, and this seriously makes me want to reconsider my first plan of reapplying. Good luck to you and your DS.

Class of 2015 - Mailbox Stalkers Club

Yep, like many others today, I received the QNV letter. Honestly, it hurts pretty bad for a while. You can't stay mad for long though. This whole thing is about timing; something we can't affect. The only thing we can do is improve our application to make it impossible for admissions to deny us...

From Plan B back to the AFA

Hey Xeon, first congratulations!! Thats awesome. I have a question for you. Do you know if they won't look at your application until you report your first semester college grades? I also heard not to bother with the SAT since it is a predictor of college success, and it will be redundant since...

    March 22 AFROTC Date

Thanks for the advice and insight everyone. I made contact with them today, and everything will be fine. They are accepting my paperwork. I feel really embarassed that I missed this date. I will definitely take this lesson to heart. I spent too much time freaking out about the Academy when I...

    March 22 AFROTC Date

Hello, I was awarded a Type 7 Scholarship, and it said to complete the paperwork and return the paperwork by March 22. I have had a few hectic weeks with many colleges announcing their decisions and trying to keep tabs on the Academy, and the date really just slipped my mind and came a lot...

No status change and no BFE yet... Are all the spots taken already??

Call your admissions counselor. Most have been getting the "qualified, but no vacancy" response AKA a TWE is coming. My counselor said almost all who are waiting now will be getting TWEs. You never know though. Leave them a message and they will get back to you as soon as possible.

Class of 2015 - Mailbox Stalkers Club

Your welcome Vamom. I would say the same for myself as well. I anticipate finishing my new application before summer is over. Hopefully your DS and I will be attending USAFA as a part of the class of 2016 :) I can't say anything for sure, but I would suspect it shows your dedication to...
