Batmom...what is the nature of his eye problem? My son had a non waiverable condition and was able to get his waiver and is currently an Aircraft commander and Instructor pilot ...so it can be done but he will have to be very pro-active on his now behalf

THat is exactly what my son did...everyone said no but he kept pushing..it ended up going all the way to the Air Force Chief of Staff who must have decided if this kid is going go to all this trouble then we want him flying a plane.He still loves it and sits in the cockpit thinking I'm getting...

Stealth +1 To add to Stealth's comment and give you some perspective...my son AFA 08 is currently deployed in Afghanistan (his 7th deployment). They are required to have 4 flight suits among lots of other equipment..he was only issued 2 with the answer that due to Sequestration and budget...

Don't often post but this topic hit home..just talked via Face Time to my son who is on his 7th deployment since pinning on his wings...if you are planning to be a pilot lack of sleep and adjusting your body clock will be a fact of life throughout your career. He is 1/2 way through his 6 month...
