I took the DoDMERB last year as well because I didn't know it would carry over so since it was in August of last year would it be valid for this year? And in reference to my online application, it says that I am a Candidate. Maybe it's just slow because everything else seems to be going...

I had a question for anyone who can answer. I started the application for USAFA but I have not received any letter from DoDMERB yet. I have applied for the past 2 years so I don't know if my physical from last year was carried over or what.

Are you talking about the online recommendations? Like the ones that the teachers fill out online? Because I was thinking the same thing. I'm going to be a sophmore in college and I doubt that some of my high school teachers would still remember enough about me to write a good letter.

I agree with Christcorp. We can't make the decision for you. It's all about what you want to do. If you do something just because you think it will look good on the application, that's going to show. Choose what you think you will enjoy as well as excel at. There will be many more decisions...

I reapplied this past year and I had to retake the DoDMERB. I did have a waiver last year so maybe that's why? If I'm reapplying again, do I have to retake it or is there someone I need to tell that I already took it last year?

When I got my TWE last year, my online status remained the same all the way up until July when I started a new application. I think it does this because "technically" you're still in the running for an appointment even if you never get it.

At my school at least, there are always a ton of volunteer activities/oppurtunities to take advantage of. They have entire volunteer service days and I'm sure most other schools have them too. Plus the volunteer activities looks great when reapplying to the academy! :shake:

I had the same dream except it was my ALO telling me I received my appointment! I can't even explain the happiness I felt when I was called....and then I woke up. haha But this is my second time enduring the wait and knowing what to expect does nothing to help. If nothing it makes it worse...

From what I have been told, attending the summer seminar will help boost your entire application package. The fact that you got in will show that you are potentially good enough for admission. It doesn't give a majorly significant boost (again from what I was told), but it will be a plus when...
