Yep... we've got a cadet at our det who didn't get an AD pilot slot, but was able to get a reserve pilot slot so he chose to request a commission into the Reserve instead of AD in May.

I would agree, more or less. When I joined in 2012 I was told the 3 most in-demand majors were electrical engineering, computer engineering, and nursing. Seems to be still be the case today as well... Though for scholarships and EAs one of the biggest helps is just to be a major considered...
