I've been accepted to Norwich and VMI. Which one should I pick? I've done a lot of reading but I still can't figure it out.

Could someone explain self prep at NMMI? Does it really increase your chances for selection to an academy?

If I was awarded a NROTC scholarship is there still a chance it could be to VMI? I'm out of state.

I've heard that the last board has already been conducted and that soon the navy will let people know, but that doesn't sound right. I thought there was one or two more boards.

Could someone please explain the difference between DODMERB for USNA and DODMERB for NROTC? I was thinking if I get an NROTC scholarship I might try to go to the Naval Academy after a year, but I've heard the DODMERB is harder.

The colleges I applied to 1) VMI 2) Norwich 3) Minnesota Twin Cities 4) Marquette 5) Iowa State I have already been accept to Iowa State and they offered a $18,000 scholarship. Still waiting to hear back on the others.
