Your BGO could put it in their notes portion of the Candidate Interview.

I’m a BGO and had a homeschooled candidate. Although he didn’t get an appointment to USNA, he did get one to USAFA. He graduated from all high school responsibilities after his third year and loaded up on community college credits, particularly STEM classes.

If in fact his BGO said “... don’t see how he would not be appointed”, that was very irresponsible of him to say it. Are you sure you got that right?

I'm a BGO and I have never told my candidates that they are 3Q'd. We are told not to, so I don't.

When a candidate gets an email about the medical exam, will it have to actually be scheduled by the candidate or are they told in the email the date, time and place?

As a BGO, I can tell you from past experience, I have had candidates get turned down after the Apr. 15th date.

I’m a BGO. I have a candidate who did not pass academic board so is not 3Q’d. The candidate has not been turned down officially yet because NAPS is still an option. My candidate doesn’t know she isn’t 3Q’d.

I do not, and will not tell my candidates if they are 3’QD and I hate it when BGO’s do it. I tell them that in my first correspondence.

I have always seen it done with what congressional district and it’s been helpful in the past but by no means am I saying it should be that way. I hear your point.

I wish the Congressional appointments had the district after it.

Has there been any contact between you and your BGO since the interview? Maybe contact him/her and ask if there is anything else you should be doing and somehow work in your interview.

We filled out the FAFSA only to protect him in case something happened before he reported. We only did it that one time. He now graduates this May.
