My son has an appointment but is not sure he want to go to that kind of ridgid college. He has been to both NASS and CVW and enjoyed both, but he is having a difficut time picking bewteen ROTC and USNA. I have told him a opportunity like this only comes once in a lifetime, any advise on either...
Hello all, over the past several months this forum has been a great help to get support and much needed information on the process. My son is now in the exciting but somewhat difficult position of choosing between USNA and USMA. He has attended a CVW at USNA and is planning to at least attend...
Us too
My son is in a very similar position, he has been waiting since October for waiver to USMA. He received a waiver to USNA within a matter of weeks. Question is will USMA wait for the outcome of the waiver before giving an appointment to the next candidate?
3 nominations
My son has a nomination from each Senator in state, plus one from our Congressman. Does having three nominations and being "3Q" qualified increase his chances. He does not have a LOA, but was invited to a weekend visit, which we are attending in Feb. Thanks
My son also
My son is in the same boat with only difference is he received a medical waiver from USNA. We also would like to think the chances are 75% but doesn't seem it could be that good of a chance.
Also received CVW
My son received a letter asking him to attend spring CVW. Couple of questions.
Does USNA evaluate the candidate during CVW
How many candidates get offers to CVW
Does this mean anything about his chances for appointment/
Thanks
Son received a congrats email from the NROTC unit at his first choice school, however nothing in the Mail, or website yet. Any idea how long it takes for the mail and NROTC web site to come up to date?
My son received a letter from USMA stating he was qualified academically and in physical aptitude, however your medical status is undetermined at this time. About one month ago he received a letter stating medically disqualified, but due to his record of accomplishment they are requesting the...
My son received a letter informing him he was approved for a medical wavier for USNA. Does that mean his overall application to USNA is viewed in a positive light?
Hi my son received a letter two days ago from USNA informing him his medical wavier was approved. On the web site they indicate you will only be considered for wavier if/when you get a letter of appointment. To his knowledge he has not gotten a LOA. What does this mean, and what is the next...
