I may not have worded that well; what I meant to say was that I did not use an epi-pen during the reaction, but visited a hospital a few days after the incident and was given an epi-pen for future use. Thank you for your help and I will be sure to look into what you have mentioned.

When I was 8 years old, I had a reaction to a bee sting in which I could not breath for about 30 seconds. I was given an epi-pen and, although I have been stung by bees three times since then, I have never had another reaction or used the epi-pen. Will I be disqualified as a USCGA applicant...
