My DS will be going to prep school at GMC in the Fall. His goal is to go to the USCGA, class of 2029. I think I saw that there is a forum, maybe on FaceBook, where GMC cadets are connecting. Can someone please direct me to it?

Hells bells! Reached out to Mr. Beckwith and my DS was entered into DODMERB back in November but we never received an email and the SSN and last name never matched in DODMETS. They are re-entering his info today and we will start the process ASAP.

My DS has not received a request from DODMETS for his medical exam (rolled over from EA to RA). We followed the guidance above and called but he’s not in the system. I take this as an indication that he’s not in consideration, even for CGAS or waitlist. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Who did the email come from, if you don’t mind sharing

My DS finally got a confirmation today by emailing Mr. Beckwith. Thanks to the person that made that suggestion! It seems his file was not complete so it’s good he was persistent.

Same issue here for my DS. Has emailed request for receipt 3 times. Has called twice (left voicemails) and texted once and cannot get a confirmation that his materials for reevaluation have been received. He’s anxious that his submission of materials may have been missed. Suggestions?

My DS emailed his personal statement for reevaluation with regular admission, had his guidance counselor email mid-year grades and his JROTC instructor submit updated PFE but he has not received confirmation of their receipt. He resent and requested a confirmation of receipt but has not heard...

Thank you. He’s followed up with his AO. Hope to get a confirmation soon. Would hate for a missed email to result in him not getting reevaluated!

My DS was deferred to RA. He’s sent the requested email confirming he wants to be reconsidered. He has not received a reply. Has anyone else? Wondering if that’s normal or if he should ask for a confirmation.

Any CGAS notifications yet? Or do those tend to come closer to the end of the notification period (Dec 23rd)?
