    Iday Medical exam

There is a color blind portion of the test as well. The out of town Plebe we were helping on I-Day last year had to re-take that portion of the test and passed but it was close.

The USNA Slang Is Changing - Feeling Old

Yes DTA was new to me as well. You're right Cannonball Run was eating all 12 Baked Apples and Hard Sauce.

The USNA Slang Is Changing - Feeling Old

    1) Dropping my DS Plebe off after Christmas break and I asked if the "JIMMY LEGS" would give me a ticket for parking in faculty parking spot. He didn't know the term. Hmmm 2) I asked him if he had a "DRAG" lined up for a dance this semester . . . . Didn't know the term. Hmmm 3) How about a...

    Med waiver

Tore at the end of June Junior year, spent the summer in PT, hired DODMerb consultants who advised on steps toward successful application. DS took his CFA with the torn labrum first week of Sep and maxed all parts then went for labrum surgery the next day. Passing the CFA allowed his package...

    Med waiver

My DS had surgery for a torn labrum in his shoulder and eventually got the waiver but he voluntarily dropped out of his high-school lacrosse program his senior year to prevent a lifetime of regrets if he injured it again. It all worked out, he ran track instead and is now a plebe doing well...

    Plebe Parade Friday 14July?

Does anyone know the time of the Plebe Parade? I see on the master schedule that the three parades are July 14, July 21 and August 4th but the times aren't posted anywhere that I can find. Thank you.

    Dodmerb consultants? Yes or No?

I used the DODMERB consultants and found the advice and guidance invaluable. DS had a shoulder subluxation and they helped me with the timing of the PT to get stronger, taking the physical fitness exam to keep the application in good order, then surgery, waiver request, recovery and finally...

    Ethnicity and admission chances

There is an O-6 who lives on the academy down "Captain's Row" named Capt. Pat William who title is the Chief Diversity Officer and has been there for a while. She or her staff should be able to shed light on what qualifies as a diverse candidate and if your background qualifies. I've heard she...

    Ethnicity and admission chances

The question is whether Indian ethnicity helps with admissions and I don't know. I believe USNA has diversity goals and to accomplish those goals, admissions advantages some ethnicities. I believe my Netherlands ethnicity is not a diversity goal and therefore did not impact my package.

    DoDMERB Consultants

That's correct but beyond the collection, his professional review of the documents and advice on the timing of the waiver submission had tremendous value to us.

    DoDMERB Consultants

This forum and your own research is much better for quick responses to questions along the way. What you are paying for is a Dr. to review your medical records and help you package your official waiver request to DoDMERB. The medical process is a long one and 99% is on you to follow all the...

    DoDMERB Consultants

I had had a good experience with Dr. Merchant. It took us a while to understand his role and how to plug him into our journey but once we understood, all was well. He is a busy person and not someone who will answer your every email about every step of the journey of your DS. The DoDMERB...

Foundation Offer for Class of 2021

While researching the Foundation school path I have see references to the Foundation sponsoring a candidate who attends a regular college for the Foundation year and not the PG schools listed on the Foundation site. Is this program still in existence or has it been phased out? If it is...

    NAPS/Foundation

Thanks for the quick reply USNA1985. My son is a junior and we are scheduling a trip to visit NAPS and a couple of the foundation schools in New England and didn't want to waste our time if we didn't have a say in the matter. I was USNA '92 through NAPS which served me extremely well and my...
