    Although there are no statistics the PNOM in most districts is a unicorn. MOCs can’t afford the political fallout of selecting individuals that weren’t pre-vetted by a community or selected by an academy according to the academy’s selection criteria. Yes, they exist but they are few and far between.

    Athletes are most definitely a portion of the lower scores but there are other categories that don’t rely on high scores either such as prior service and/or MAPs. It would be interesting to see the scores broken out. That said, none of mine superscored over a 29 and none were recruited.

    From an empathy standpoint you probably won’t get much as prospective candidates await their decision on acceptance and you are discussing not affirming. More than one prospective candidate that won’t get an appointment is thinking that your appointment was wasted.

    Cadets are training to lead Soldiers. Soldiers are issued socks and boots and military clothing. If cadets are too fragile to wear issued socks or boots or military clothing, how can they lead Soldiers? How can they know how long it takes for issued socks to dry or how long Soldiers can walk in...
