Oh my goodness - that had to be a roller coaster of emotions. Was his nomination flagged/marked as principal in his portal display or only embedded in the java script code? (I didn't attempt to look at the code.)

Yes, DS received a letter from the MOC indicating he was a principal nominee. With some prodding, DS emailed his BGO (with letter from MOC) for any guidance last night. Does it seem odd that DS would end up waitlisted with a p-nom? It does to us, but this is our first time going through this...

For those designated as a Principal Nominee by a MOC, did it indicate so on your portal anywhere? It never did for my DS and now I'm wondering if there could've been an oversight. After reports of people getting Turned Down messages by mistake last week, we know mistakes can happen.

I went to State; ECU (along with other schools) wasn't an option. :)

I appreciate the note. Perhaps we set our expectations too high given the principal nomination. We were under the impression that principal nominees generally get an offer if they’re qualified. His portal indicated he was 2Q and we were optimistic he had enough other positive attributes...

DS waitlisted. NC 6th district. 2 MOC noms including one principal. Really bummed.

DS (NC 06) and is also still pending (at least as of last evening; he's been at swim practice since 5am so I don't know if there's any new info). He also intends to major in Aerospace Engineering. Plan B is Auburn University.

Our DS was informed back in December that he's our MOC's principal nominee. Crickets.
