    Thought he was prepared... Quick question...son is scholarship recipient and good on his APFT but they have told him he is now underweight by 3 lbs. He has gained about 5 pounds since being offered scholarship and is 5'8" and weighs 126. I thought I remember the minimum weight for his height...

    Melitzank...thanks for the link re: PT. I notice that MS class (lab) isn't addressed...do you know if that is also held at each cross town? DS would like to hear from cadets/parents if GW and AU have been supportive of cadets with scheduling and housing or if he would be at a disadvantage not...

    Jcleppe...yes Georgetown is the host school for both George Washington and American University. DS met with the HOYA battalion months ago when he was planning to apply to Georgetown but has since set his sights on GW and AU.

    Room and Board

    Cadets may also want to check with the school's financial aid office in regards to grants covering room and board. While the ROTC scholarship may cover only tuition and fees some schools provide grants to ROTC scholarship recipients to cover room for the duration of the scholarship:thumb:

    One very proud parent! DS has been awarded scholarship! 3.7 unweighted 29 ACT Varsity XC/track and marksmanship JROTC regimental staff/boys state/NHS/volunteer staff at National Youth Leadership Training Camp Now on to DODMERB! Go Rams!:biggrin:
