Attrition What KP13 failed to state is that when 2013 reported 1n 2009 the class numbered 291 .... down to 203 at graduation.... 30% attrition. That's a sad state of affairs.

Questions Some Maritime schools will allow you "resident" tuition, if your home state does not have a Maritime school? Ask them about their policy. Also ask if if they will refund your deposits if your son receives a USMMA appointment (which can come as late as the July reporting date)...

Weather FYI ... NY in March can be downright cold, especially on the shore line (it's not SanDiego weather) be sure to bring a warm jacket/coat... can also be quite pleasant, you just never know.

A.P. If your H.S. doesn't offer them ... try to locate a nearby school that offers A.P. courses in calculus and/or physics. These are the "killer" subjects at K.P. Short intro courses to "engineering" are probably worthless.
