DS won a Leadership Scholarship from his HS ...it originally had a stipulation for tuition and books. When he got his Principal nomination, the Trust Scholarship committee lifted the stipulation and he was able to use it to pay for his uniforms and computer immediately etc.

It was a sad moment when I found out my retired, 3 tours Vietnam Combat Veteran retired dad could not administer the Oath when I got my commission. :frown: But I made sure I got my first salute from him and the silver dollar. I think it was one of his proudest moments.:thumb:
ENJJPT= Euro-Nato Joint Jet Pilot Training...basically same as regular UPT BUT the students are tracked to T-38s and almost guaranteed to fly fighters...Euro NATO countries send their best and brightest and pay US big bucks to train their countrymen into future fighter pilots.

Thank you for the explanation!...and kudos to all the kids that do go on a Religious mission if they choose to...needless to say, my DS says it was the best fulfilling two years of his life. Hmmmm too bad the military doesn't recognize Religious church missions and award these selfless young...
