    Yet Another USAFA Hopeful...

Don't stress having people review your chances. It's easy to psych yourself out looking at other people's "resumes" or whatever term you prefer to use. When I was a candidate (a 2021 appointee now *insert a billion smilies*), I made sure I completely avoided those pages where people listed there...

    Squadron Assignments

You can also, as an extra layer of protection, make it to where only you can see your friends list. I saw your post and was fixing to apply the coffee shop rule to my Facebook and noticed that I can keep everyone, including friends, from viewing my friends list. It was much easier than the...

    Standard Form 600 Question

I'm currently going down the in-processing checklist and am reviewing the Standard Form 600 before I check it off as complete. I did it a while back and didn't see the column on the left side of each page labeled "date." Does anybody know what to do with that? There's literally no directions on...

To whom and to what address does my counselor send my transcripts

Check your Instructions to Appointees packet. It's in there. Page 7 if I remember correctly.

    MS Nominations

I cannot give you an exact number of how many apply for nomination in MS, but I can tell you it is a lot less than other states. I know that there was around 30 combined who applied for a nomination for any of the 4 service academies for Congressman Palazzo. It is competitive, but it is not near...

    USAFA Flying Team

What does a cadet do to stay current if they aren't on the flying team yet? I'm a 2021 appointee with a PPL, but I know that I will not be current or will be very close to not being current by the end of BCT. Just curious!:D

    Future options for Service

I HIGHLY suggest you go reevaluate what you think an officer does. If leading soldiers/airman/sailors/marines, or as you put it "being stuck looking over a bunch of enlistees," is a less fun job, then you might want to look at what enlisted men do as well. NCO's also are in command of men and...

    MS Nominations

I got a USNA appt. off of Palazzo's nom and a USAFA off of Cochran's nom. Palazzo and Cochran's representatives called me back in February to notify me, but I missed Palazzo's call (thanks to school:() and got a voicemail instead. I picked USAFA:D I hope that is the news you were asking about...

    USAFA vs. USNA

Kinnem has a very good point about the family and grocery store being close. Family is the reason why I picked USAFA over USNA. I personally feel that being on a ship for 6 months at a time isn't exactly the most conducive thing for starting a family, which is something I'd like to do in the...

    Appointee Kit

Guess they aren't happening today....unless they decide to pull the stunt they did with my "we received your acceptance of appointment/congrats!" letter on my portal, which they put onto my portal at 2:30am

    Cell Coverage

Anybody know what cell provider has the best coverage at USAFA? I went to SS last summer and my provider (C-Spire) had horrible coverage. I was lucky to get 1 bar of 3G anywhere and mostly had no service at all. Didn't matter too much then, but now, being a 2021 appointee, I do care:D

Air Force C4C Willing to Answer Questions

This is probably more silly of a question than TheAspiringWon's, but do you know what happens to those cadets who are unlucky enough to have a birthday during BCT? Birthday push-ups or anything like that?:DIt just dawned on me that my birthday is right in the middle of BCT, and now for the first...
