    Quartermaster fees?

I believe the reason you can't apply the ROTC scholarship to those costs is a contracted or a scholarship cadet will receive a monthly stipend and the annual uniform allowance. Their are also other opportunities to work after breakout. I did library assistant which gave time to study in the...

    FLIPL and army officers

Unless he is the proximate and criminal cause most FLIPL liability is capped at 1 month base pay and deducted by Soldier election or in lump sum of 10% over 10 months with no interest. FLIPLs all go through thorough legal review and if he is held liability he can get 30 days and government...

    Army Career Intermission Program

CIP is a relatively new program. To answer your question on career impacts basically you are grouped as you enter by what is called a year group. Consideration for promotion and assignments tends to be based on your year group. CIP would basically pull you out of your YG for 1 to 3 years and...

Army ROTC - covid vaccine required for 1st year?

It wont matter for an initial entry Guard Soldier as they will be required to do BOLC and camp. These policies even if upheld would be limited most likely to the State Bureaus and Headquarters.

    ASSLT/Airborne

I am not seeing that at all. Airborne slots are very tight on AD but if you go to the light Divisions you can get AASLT pretty easily. Having graduated both I would also say I would rather do Airborne at 21 and AASLT later in life than reverse which is what I did. Airborne was more physical...

    Commission Rates?

Just a thought but if you are at VTCC and decide/disqualify commissioning you then you can transfer out of Corps and stay on track to graduate. At VMI you may be disqualified or opt out of a commission but willing to stay and graduate. Commissioning rates among D1 athletes at VMI are also...

    Decent Level of PF

The more fit you are the easier everything will be in the Army. Not sure of where you are starting from but push yourself to be able to work out for 60 to 90 minutes 5x a week. Cardio wise be able to run 2 miles below 14:30 and 4 miles at a 8:00 pace and you wont have any worries in group PT...

    Air Assault

Have an Air Assault qualified Officer/NCO check your form on the obstacles. There is a some technique to a few of them. If you are reasonably fit and can do the ruck, knock out pull ups and climb a rope it isnt a physically demanding course. Dont overthink the slingload or rappel...

    Improving on ACFT HRPs

Do iterations to get to 60. Like 40 rest for 30 seconds then the remaining 20. As it gets easier increase the first set. Biggest thing is keep doing the exercises cumulatively. Remember ACFT requires energy on all six events with minimal rest. Too many folks burn out on the last two events.

AGSU - vendors - opinions & quality claims

Marlow White is always quality but you pay for it. I did the AAFES uniforms for first 5 to 10 years and as new variants emerged or old ones needed replaced I went with MW. Given the number of times you wear AGSUs and Blues as a O1 to O3 (2-4 annually) dont go overboard. If he is going to...

Affidavit for self reported drug use?

If the ROO is saying do the affidavit then recommend following their guidance. It may not be in the governing policy but local commands may have different requirements. If I was the PMS and had an MS 1 (or 4) telling my cadre pound sand and the guidance isnt illegal, immoral or unethical that...

    FTX, field equipment regulations

Same advice i have with all my lieutenants in initial counseling go link up with an NCO in your detachment with your FLC and attachmentss. The NCO can make sure it is jacked up so you can exchange it or validate that this isnt operator headspace and timing. Two benefits 1. You wont look like...

    Army Question

The ACFT is not finalized. The Army is still doing data collection to validate scoring charts so all units (AD, NG AR) are taking it and submitting scores. There is currently no requirement to pass the ACFT or adminstrative actions if a Soldier isnt passing. This includes initial entry...
