Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that you could obtain a nomination for an academy through ROTC. Is that right?

I received an email today telling me that I was not admitted to the Naval Academy. Good Luck to the rest of you.

How high of a rank do you mean? Are we talking like top 10 or something?

First, what is "PRK"? Second, when you say rank high enough are you talking about in the class, like in the top X% of the class or something like that? And I would like to know about after graduation as well. Thank for the help :thumb:

Does anyone know how the process for becoming a pilot after graduation works? I know of at least one test, but does anyone know the step by step process? I'm just curious, this is really what I want to do.

I'm not exactly sure how the whole medical thing works with going to graduate school after the academy except that I've heard its pretty hard to do. I think you have to apply to be allowed to go to grad school. And secondly, if you are iffy on whether or not to be in the military the academy is...

That is what I need to do. How do you go about doing that? Do you usually get the extension?

Man... I am a little more pessimistic now. My status still says no decision, I check it probably at least twice a day. This is not looking good.

Is anyone else still waiting to hear about an NROTC scholarship? What are you doing in the mean time? I have been accepted to both TAMU and UT and I applied for both schools for the scholarship, but I can't pick one without the scholarship. Advice, or what you are doing.

I'm pretty sure if you fill out a preliminary app you are given a candidate number. I have never heard of anyone not getting one but I could be wrong...

I am waiting on a medical waiver and did not receive a TWE, so I believe that is good news. But, the deadlines to accept admission at the other schools I applied to (Texas A&M and the University of Texas) are fast approaching, May 1st for both I believe. So, what do I do? Do I just pick one and...
