    Hotels for PPW

THanks for the ideas! Thanks all, for all of the helpful input. We actually have decided to stay in DTA and have reserved a hotel there--just so family members can stop in more easily. Since we don't live too far away (2.5 hrs) we thought this was the best choice.:thumb:

    Hotels for PPW

OK then... Good Point about the plebes being a bit waterlogged by PPW--LOL. So, that being said, which hotels are reasonable, comfortable, and close enough to the Yard? We have stayed at the Marriott and will be staying there for I-Day, but would like to stay someplace a bit more affordable...

    Hotels for PPW

Hi Everyone! What hotels do you all recommend for PPW? DD has said she would like a hotel with a pool. So all of the places right around the Academy are out--as far as I know none of them have pools. Also, I know there is always the possibility of a friend joining our group or relatives...

    Parking on I-Day

Thanks We will most likely stay at the Marriott. DH and I went down for a weekend about a month ago and stayed there--and the walking distance was very reasonable. I was just considering the cost--but for I-Day it sounds like its worth it--from what you all have said. About the...

    Parking on I-Day

I am concerned about parking and am wondering about hotels. We are considering either the Marriott or something like the Courtyard or Hampton Inn. Is there any advantage to getting a hotel (like the Marriott or Loewes) that's within walking distance on I-Day? Or is it just more of an...

    Question

Another answer Spoke with DD--she reminded me that she had one letter from her College Calculus prof and one from a high school teacher--who rewrote her letter from the previous year. Those two letters together seemed to fit the bill. :wiggle: Oh--and yes, she was required to submit those...

    Question

Another answer DD is a freshman in college this year-and went through the application process. She made herself stand out in large classes by getting grades at the top of the class, going to EVERY review session and taking advantage of her profs' office hours. When she asked one or two of...

Help Keep Unattended Mom out of Trouble at CVW

Was just there for a fun weekend with DH last weekend. DD is going to be at CVW next weekend too. DH and I ate at the Federal House--very casual and comfortable with great food. You can sit at the bar and eat if you want. Definitely take a tour of the yard. I found the museum to be...
