CGA Incoming class expected to be most diverse ever

Well, I'd like to say, for someone attending these programs, that it didn't seem hard to get in. The program was for minorities or first generation college students. Of which, I am not a minority, per say, as I am European American and my father had an Associates degree. The only sort of...

    Dual Citizenship

I had this issue this past year. I was told because I am a dual citizen to Germany-USA, I would have to give up my German citizenship. In fact, I had to sign the papers stating this as part of the application, not registration.

    "Compare Myself" Thread

I did have 9 people from my congressional district apply. Only 1 got in. I had a nomination from JROTC and the congressman. I'm thinking perhaps my academics are high, but not high enough, I'm just below the 15th percentile for my class.

    The us military academy

Pretty much the majority of people on here are going to have a great deal of respect for the military, because, they're planning of joining it, or already have. You're not going to hear much different.

    Who's still waiting on AFROTC?

    I'm still waiting.

can I switch Army ROTC and apply to the AFA my second year after I took a scholarship

I'm in the same scenario. I have not heard back from AFROTC, and so I had to sign for the AROTC scholarship before the deadline of March 31. I received the TWE, and I'm planning of reapplying next year.

Do any BGOs here know that it will be TWes from here on?

Did the letter your DS received state "waiting list" or just simply state if a vacancy occurs, they will notify him? I received a QNV letter from USAFA, I was just wondering.

    Candidate Portal

The only advantage I've heard of is, well, having your portal/file already open. When you apply for SLS, it automatically opens a file for USMA. Another advantage might be the wealth of knowledge you receive during the program, however, admissions does not give extra points to those who go to SLS.

    Oh, the waiting!!

I simply contacted my admissions officer, and he let me know. I did the same for USAFA, they didn't tell me the exact date, but they let me know around what week my file would go in front of the board.

    Oh, the waiting!!

I know what you mean. It's been a long wait. I was told my file would be going up on one of the last days, so I will be waiting another two weeks.

    At this point...

I was told my file would go in front of the Board around April 4, at which, I believe that would be one of the latest to be reviewed.
