Jetbill,
That's awesome persistence and happy for your son. Beyond just the structure provided at MMI, are you willing to share and elaborate on how your DS's application changed between his first/second and ultimately successful application cycle? Did he have actionable feedback from his AO...
The portal updated at midnight EST for my DS (deferred from EA). He was not offered an appointment, nor the scholars program.
On to plan B or C and reapplication next spring. Heartbroken for him. However, a chance for him to learn and persevere if this is what he truly wants.
Awesome story. Do you mind sharing what actins your DS took in his extra year to improve his candidacy on reapplication and address any Fredie feedback? Also, any pointers from your end for those who wind up in a similar position?
I thought i read reapplicants were not permitted to EA...
All makes sense. The institutional needs are key. Fredy's report showed ~250+ appointments affiliated with either sports or band and a matrix to target needs (teams, state diversity, majors). For non-sports team candidates, this leaves only ~150 rooms at the inn.

Great story! That's awesome and congrats again on setting your mind to a goal and achieving it. Hopefully my DS will join you this summer in CT, else he'll reach out to you to ask about your MMI experiences and weigh it versus other self prep options.
Do you mind sharing your experience from getting declined on your initial Early/Regular Application to then successfully getting an appointment as a RA reapplicant?
Did you have feedback from your AO on how/why you fell short in your initial application to work on? What steps did you...
My DS had a similar experience to ProudMom7. His DODMETS status was progressing until it wasn't and placed "on hold". I contacted DODMETS at the number on their site and the case reviewer explained 1 of the 4 pages of his medical exam was not legible. After some chasing, it finally was "closed"...
Thanks for sharing Flint41. Very helpful. I just wanted to follow on to your post to share that my parental experience and my DS's Cadet for a Day (CFAD) experience was very similar, albeit with an overnight component, PFE exam the next morning and final briefing.
The initial day 8 AM - 4PM...
