So my DS is dead set on the USNA. He will head to UCF and re apply next year if he is not pulled off of the waitlist this year. Does anyone know, or maybe there is another thread, what is the best way to make that 2nd application stand out to admissions? What classes to take? Does ROTC help?
From the FAQ on waitlists....
We have offered appointments to approximately 1,250 of those students; we expect 1,170 students to accept our offer and enroll at USNA. If fewer than 1,170 students accept our offer, we will then offer admission to additional students who have been put on our Wait...

He is the West Virginia area coordinator. I emailed him yesterday about if he knew anything about my application status. He originally emailed me on April 7th with 11 others from West Virginia saying that we would all know our decisions by April 15th.
That makes sense. The Brigade Commander at Inspire told us he didn't know until a week before because of a medical (asthma). I am just trying to help set realistic expectations and then anything that happens before is a blessing. Thanks for your feedback. Appreciate your experience.
