So proud to report that my DS was personally presented the NROTC Marine Option scholarship certificate this morning at school (New Jersey) by his marine recruiter, Captain Smith. What a great Christmas gift!!

received email last evening that son not accepted this year. He was also fortunate to have attended last year's session.

nothing yet here either, son received his acceptance last year on April 5th

Son is not a minority either - white male, good grades, athletics, etc. (entering 10th grade next fall). We are from the very competitive State of NJ. He previously applied the past 2 years but this is his first acceptance, so we are all that much more thrilled! Congrats to all those accepted...

Son received USNA Summer STEM acceptance letter today. We are very excited.

Sure will. We are about 3 1/2 hours from the Academy so we feel fortunate for the possible opportunity to see our son before Parents' Weekend. Nice to hear our sons are in the same company.

Swab is in Echo company, so according to the Eagle schedule, he would probably be in the 2nd Phase. If planning to tour the Eagle and hopefully see our son, should we be thinking the beginning of Phase 2, the weekend in Maine when they embark or the end when they arrive in New Hampshire?

Any waitlist news so far this week from anyone? Son is on the list, post states a few calls were going to be made this week, wondering if anyone has received one yet?

son called today and was told he was waitlisted and that the letter was sent out yesterday.
