Outstanding! This is odd...I just watched the video of your appointment on YouTube. I was wondering why there was an Air Force sign behind you. Congratulations! See you in June!!!

    college grades

I'm not sure what to tell you. I was out-and-out rejected last year (nom but no 3Q or anything) and I went to a community college here. First semester I received a C (79.3, but a C on the transcript) in Chem 1 and a B in precalc. Second semester I got an A in calc 1, another C in Chem 2, and A's...

    A Question of Time

That's the truth! One of my favorite quotes is 'He who expects nothing will never be disappointed.' That's been my strategy waiting on USxA mail. Expect it to come on May 1. You can limit your anxiety and then, if it comes early...great!

    Thanks, HC

I'm still shaking. After receiving my USMA LOA, I just got a letter from DoDMERB. Right off the bat, I noticed it was only one page instead of the standard rejection-letter two. Then it said there was an important change: I was granted a waiver to USMA for sleepwalking. All...

    How does the Academy work?

SEALs? How does service selection work, exactly? With so many choices, do they have billets like USxA or what? How do you go about picking a specific service in a branch? And I realize that my eyes will be opened to other opportunities, but how difficult would it be to obtain a SEAL billet...

    Admissions packets received.

Employer's eval It is in the green Admissions Handbook on one of the glossy pages (not a loose paper form like the rest of them). I believe it is two pages before the yellow postcards.

Competitiveness for a nomination depending on state

It looks like you handle stress and criticism outstandingly well, too. Excellent qualities for a future Naval officer.

    Vaccinations

Perhaps this should be posted on the DoDMERB board?...anyhow... I realize that vaccinations are required at the Academy. However, if one has an exemption from one's state health department, would the Academy accept that, or would they still be required?

    Sending RGO's extra information

Regional Guidance Officer would be my guess...Same as a 'CGO,' right? For me, I just emailed my regional office with any updates and they added them to my file. I like the new resume idea, I might do that this year.

    USNA via NROTC?

In a nutshell: I've been rejected for USNA and offered a full-ride NROTC offer to VMI (my first choice school). I didn't actually expect to get offered an NROTC scholarship and obviously was hoping to not be in a position to have to decide, however, here I am. I mainly signed up for the...
