How do NROTC nominations to a service academy work? What happens if you get one? Is it the same as MOC nomination to a service academy?

Just received my TWE. Filled out Prelim. App to Class of 2015. I received a USMC ROTC scholarship to Ohio State University. I accepted it, but how does the NROTC unit nomination work? What makes a NROTC unit nomination different from and MOC nomination?

USMC ROTC just showed up on the dodmerb website for me. I had never seen it there before... I'm a bit confused. Help!

I agree with TXUSNA - I dont think DODMERB could be completely accurate with everyone's application due to the fact that there are so many candidates. I think if your status still says "in process" your fine.

If your status doesnt change from "in process" to "offer extended," and are still waiting, is that bad? I just wonder if the dodmerb website will tell of what's happening with my application.

Hello all, I received word that I have received a nomination and I am scholastically qualified. I do not know whether I received a principal or competitive nomination though. At this point, what are the factors that the Academy decides on for final admission?

I received a letter in the beginning of October, and have not updated anything on my application and still got a second letter yesterday saying I was scholastically approved again as well.

I guess this question is just more for Mr. Mullen becuase he knows best, but I was disqualified on a concussion with flacidity on my left side of the body. I am 100% healthy now, so what do you think my chances are of me getting qualified?

If Im granted a medical waiver does that mean Im qualified or does that mean I still have to submit the waiver to get approved and then qualified?
