    Laundry Question

It is my understanding that 4 degrees sort their laundry into a couple of bags and send them to the laundry. Their clothes get washed in the bags, in boiling water, no soap and then returned to them, still in the bag.

Falconfamily, We have some families from our area who would like to join you for dinner but they are not users of the Service Academy Forum. Wondering if they can email you directly, outside of this forum. Susan D. Mom of C2C Louis DeScioli CS 11

BCT Grad/Acceptance Day for USAFA class of 2015

All visitors are required to be out of the cadet area by 1:00 pm so you can plan accordingly.

    Investments for BCs/C4Cs

It is also my understanding that cadets get investment advice when they take Economics at USAFA.

    First few days

There is a build up in physical training over the first several days to give the new cadets a chance to acclimate to the altitude, etc. They spend most days in their sneakers, too, to give their feet a chance to adjust.

BCT Grad/Acceptance Day for USAFA class of 2015

The parade is on Stillman Field and the parents usually start arriving around 7:45 - 8:00 am. You can usually figure out where to sit so that your cadet's squadron lines up right in front of you. Then, while sitting in the stands it is great to get to know the parents of the kids in your...

    Graduation Gift Ideas

A few things that our cadet appreciated - a good pair of sunglasses, noise canceling headphones, blue tooth device for his phone. Our cadet's squadron allowed them to wear sunglasses at football games so good sunglasses were very welcome.

    Class of 2015 I-Day Rendezvous

Old Chicago Pizza at the Woodman Rd. exit off Rt. 25 is a good suggestion. You can go upstairs and be a little bit separated from the general public. Might be good to call first. There are several good hotels in the same parking lot, too.

    Boots before I day

There isn't any need to attempt to buy boots prior to I day. In the past, some appointees purchased boots at orientation. Now that orientation has been cancelled, that option is gone so don't worry about it. The boots that are worn now don't require any break-in so you can just get them at I day.

    I-Day Emotions (for Appointees)?

The question about parents attending/not attending I day will go back and forth for a long time. We went with our son, as we went with our older daughter when she started her non-military college three years prior. It was a good thing we went as our son needed a few things that had gotten...

    Snowboarding?

A Liberty pass is all you will need to get in plenty of snowboarding. My cadet had a Liberty pass his 4 dig year and it was fine. All of the trips he went on were to Keystone and Arapahoe Basin. Once he was able to borrow/drive a car he got the more expensive pass that including Breckenridge...

    Transportation to Denver Airport

Barbara Gutierrez, Association of Graduates, Parents Association liaison posts shuttle bus schedules for major leaves - Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break. You can buy bus tickets, one way or round trip, for your cadet by contacting the Rec Center. The number is in the book that the AOG...

Does anyone know how long the summer sessions are?

Sophomore summer, the summer after freshman year, your cadet will have three, 3-week sessions to plan. Sometime in December or January they will fill out a form and make first choices, second choices, etc. Cadet Survival Training is required for graduation so that will be one choice, Global...
